How do I get Atomic Clock on my computer?
Currently there are several dozens of atomic clocks
scattered all over the world. Some are located in universities,
others are in governmental institutions. Lucky for you, most of
them are connected to the atomic time servers. This enables you
to have atomic time right on your desktop. This is how it works.
The atomic clock transmits the correct atomic time to the atomic
time servers. You can connect to these atomic time servers to synchronize
your computer time with the atomic time. If there is a discrepancy,
your current time gets adjusted to the correct atomic time. That's
it. Well, not quite.
As time passes, your computer clock may start displaying incorrect
time as a result of malfunctions or erroneous manual time adjustments,
as well as incorrect time zone settings. This is why you need software
that would keep the current atomic time on your computer. Basically,
you just set the software to automatically connect your computer
to the atomic time server periodically (or each time you establish
the Internet connection, whichever you prefer) and if there is a
discrepancy between your computer time and server's atomic time,
the time on your computer gets automatically adjusted. What is the
software that can do it? Atomic Time Corrector and you can download
it right here. Want to know who usually buys the time synchronizing
software? Read our next article.
